Al Ain is a beautiful oasis city located to the east of the Abu Dhabi Emirate, bordering Oman, in the United Arab Emirates. Al Ain is one of Abu Dhabi's largest cities, and it features a green scenic environment and beautiful natural springs. The greenness is the reason it is referred to as the "Garden City" or "The Spring" of the United Arab Emirates. Al Ain is in proximity to both Abu Dhabi and Dubai, making an excellent location for active business, economic, cultural, and tourism hubs in the Emirates.
Al Ain has a beautiful cityscape with a blend of ancient and modern architecture, a feature that contributes significantly to the general outlook of the city. The tombs on the iconic Mount Hafeet feature remains of the Bronze Age, while more artifacts and masterpieces from the previous years are stored in the Al Ain National Museum. More ancient structures are featured in the Al Jahili Fort Museum and the massive Qasr Al Muwaiji, where unique art and craft pieces and unique antiques are showcased.
Another tourist attraction is the Al Ain Zoo, home to many species of animals indigenous to Al Ain, including the Arabian Oryx, the rare white lions, as well as giraffes, among other animals.

When to visit Al Ain

Al Ain experiences a hot desert climate of Köppen classification BWh. The weather is characterized by long, scorching, moderately humid, and dry summers and warm, moderately dry winters. The winter rainfall is very minimal, barely going above 19mm (0.7") on the rainiest month.
The hottest months in Al Ain are June, July, and August, when the temperature hits 45°C (113°F) or more, and the sun remains very intense for up to ten hours on most days. The extreme heat makes most people remain indoors until late into the evening when it becomes bearable to tour the city.
Summer begins in May and extends through September. The season is marked with intense sun and scorching temperature, making most days unbearable to spend outdoor. The humidity is lowest during summer, though, reading as low as 33%, and this helps lower the extreme summer scorch considerably. Rainfall during summer is scarce, only measuring an average of 2.3mm (0.1") in precipitation per month.
The warm season, winter, stretches from October through April. The weather is mainly characterized by warm to hot temperature and a few showers of rainfall. During the day, the temperature reads between 24.8°C (76.6°F) and 37.6°C (99.7°F) and drops considerably to read between 12.7°C (54.9°F) and 23.5°C (74.3°F) at night. This season registers the highest rainfall in Al Ain, albeit in minimal amounts. The rainiest month is March, with a 19.1mm (0.8") reading in precipitation. The humidity, though, reads approximately 45% throughout the warm season. Extremely low-temperature readings are rare, and this makes the season tolerable to venture into the outdoors both during the day and at night.
The peak of Al Ain's tourism season falls between October and April. This duration features moderately tolerable weather because it comes after the intense scorch of the hot season, and it is an excellent time to tour the city and indulge in numerous fun activities. The most common festival in Al Ain is Ramadhan, which is held on varying dates to mark the end of fasting for the Muslims, amid feasting and colorful decorations.
